Homeopathy has a long history, going back to at least the Ancient Greeks. Hippocrates believed that there are two possible types of treatment; administering "contraries" and "similars".
Aulus Cornelius Celsus (fl. 1st century AD, Rome), was a Roman medical writer, and thought to rely on this same reasoning by some writers. The method of contraries would be followed a century later by Galen of Pergamum (born AD 129, died c. 199). The system of similars was described by philosophers such as Thomas Aquinas and by doctors of the vitalist school of medicine.
BMI, or body mass index, is an indirect measure of body fat in a person. Because the calculation only requires two pieces of information -- height and weight -- it is an inexpensive and easy method used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems such as diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. Calculating BMI can help determine if a person is overweight or obese; these calculations are often used in conjunction with other measurements (such as waist circumference) to assess a person's weight.

The UAE records one of the highest rates of obesity in the world, higher than the US. Over 100 million adult Americans are overweight or obese. Being overweight or obese increases a person's chances for developing serious health problems, especially heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and cancer. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann was born in Meissen, Saxony. His father, along with many other family members, was a painter and designer of porcelain, for which the town of Meissen is famous.
As a young man, Hahnemann became proficient in a number of languages, including English, French, Italian, Greek and Latin. He eventually made a living as a translator and teacher of languages, gaining further proficiency in "Arabic, Syriac, Chaldaic and Hebrew".
