Homeopathy

HomeopathyHomeopathy is  an alternative medical system developed in Germany by Dr.Samuel Fredrich Hahnemann at the end of the 18th century, based on two  theories: “like cures like”—the notion that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people; and “law of minimum dose”—the notion that the lower the dose of the medication, the greater its effectiveness.

homeopathic medicineHomeopathic remedies are derived from substances that come from plants, minerals, or animals, such as red onion, arnica (mountain herb), crushed whole bees, white arsenic, poison ivy, belladonna (deadly nightshade), and stinging nettle. Homeopathic remedies are often formulated as sugar pellets to be placed under the tongue; they may also be in other forms, such as ointments, gels, drops, creams, and tablets. Treatments are “individualized” or tailored to each person—it is not uncommon for different people with the same condition to receive different treatments.

India, Bangladesh sign MoU on Homeopathy

India and Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of traditional systems of medicine and Homeopathy.

Training, research, exchanges of experts and setting up an academic chair are the highlights of this new cooperation envisaged in the MoU.

Bangladesh's health secretary M.M. Neazuddin and India's Secretary for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturapathy Unani, Siddhi and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Nilanjan Sanyal signed the MoU in Dhaka on the sidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) regional meeting.

For you, for me

Three good reasons to consider homeopathy for moms and babies

The first is that it’s safe. Although many homeopathic medicines are prepared from plants and other substances which are poisonous in their raw form, by the time they have been prepared as medicines for sale or prescription they are completely non-toxic and they be given safely to breastfeeding mums as well as to children, from the first day of life onwards.

Why homeopathy

Homeopathy  is a form of alternative medicine in which practitioners treat patients using highly diluted preparations that are believed to cause healthy people to exhibit symptoms that are similar to those exhibited by the patient. The collective weight of scientific evidence has found homeopathy to be no more effective than a placebo.

Homeopathy :: Advantages

Homeopathy is a system of natural medicine developed by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician in the early 1800s. He discovered that the same substance that could cause a reaction in a healthy person could also be a remedy for someone suffering from similar symptoms.

That is the basic premise of homeopathy: “like cures like.” It may seem hard to believe, yet the approach to vaccination used in Western medicine is a similar one, albeit one that is fraught with potential side effects, unlike homeopathy which is completely safe.
