A disease is a particular abnormal, pathological condition that affects part or all of an organism. It is often construed as a medical condition associated with specific symptoms and signs. It may be caused by factors originally from an external source, such as infectious disease, or it may be caused by internal dysfunctions, such as autoimmune diseases. In humans, "disease" is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems, or death to the person afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person.

Thyroid disease

The thyroid gland is a small organ that’s located in the front of the neck, wrapped around the windpipe (trachea). It’s shaped like a butterfly, smaller in the middle with two wide wings that extend around the side of the throat.

The thyroid is a gland. We have glands throughout our body, where they create and release substances that help the body do a specific thing. The thyroid makes hormones that help control many vital functions of the body.

Thyroid cancer

Thyroid cancer is uncommon and tends to be treatable, particularly because it’s often found in its early stages. Surgery is considered the first line of treatment — the gland is removed and hormone replacement drugs are used thereafter.

Chemotherapy and/or radiation may also be used in conjunction with the surgery, but it depends on the patient and stage of the cancer

Goiter

Goiter is an enlargement of the thyroid gland in the neck. A goiter can be caused by a variety of factors and conditions, and treatment ranges from watchful waiting (no treatment) to surgery.

The thyroid gland produces the hormones thyroxine (also called T4) and triiodothyronine (also called T3). (Most of the T4 is changed to T3 outside of the thyroid.) These hormones play a role in certain bodily functions, including body temperature, mood and excitability, pulse rate, digestion and others

What is Constipation?

Constipation is a condition where stool movement is irregular and is characterized by hard stools, which often obstructs the movement of stools. Constipation is also categorized by some people as hardening and difficulty in passing stools.

A sense of an incomplete bowel movement is also felt by many people that complain of constipation.

Arthritis

The word "Arthritis" means "joint inflammation." Inflammation is one of the body's natural reactions to disease or injury, and includes swelling, pain, and stiffness. Inflammation that lasts for a very long time or recurs, as in arthritis, can lead to tissue damage.

A joint is where two or more bones come together, such as the hip or knee

Arthritis of the Shoulder

The most common symptom of arthritis of the shoulder is pain, which is aggravated by activity and progressively worsens. If the glenohumeral shoulder joint is affected, the pain is centered in the back of the shoulder and may intensify with changes in the weather.

The pain of arthritis in the acromioclavicular joint is focused on the front of the shoulder. Someone with rheumatoid arthritis may have pain in all these areas if both shoulder joints are affected

Homeo medicine for fibroid

Homeopathic treatment of uterine fibroids can be very effective and is highly recommended. Most of the time the success rate is very high when treated early while the fibroids are of small to medium size.

Homeopathic remedies in general have no known side effects whatsoever. They are recommended for all age groups and can be taken for long durations without the fear of any harmful side effects.

Warts :: What is it

Warts are a type of skin infection caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The infection causes rough, skin-colored bumps to form on the skin.

The virus is contagious. You can get warts from touching someone who has them.

Tonsillitis :: An overview

Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils, two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat — one tonsil on each side. It's usually caused by a viral infection or, less commonly, a bacterial infection.

It's a common type of infection in children, although it can sometimes affect adults. It's a common type of infection in children, although it can sometimes affect adults.

Sinusitis in children

Sinusitis (rhinosinusitis) in children can look different than sinusitis in adults. More often, children have a cough, bad breath, crankiness, low energy, and swelling around the eyes, along with a thick yellow-green nasal or post-nasal drip.

Child's sinuses are not fully developed until late in the teen years.
